College Pupils ‘Kill Animals in Sick Initiation Rite’ As Pictures and Footage Posted Online (PG)

Days prior, a photo went viral of a grinning student holding up a dead cat. The animal supposedly belonged to two employees at Hartpury College, Gloucs.

One frantic Facebook user claimed: “We’ll wait for the next one while the students carry on their competition for who can kill the biggest animal. Totally deplorable. None of these individuals have had any real significance.”

An ex-student posted: “There’s a sick game going on between students. Dares. Initiations…” Hartpury’s courses, from A-levels to degrees, include animal care and sports. Former Northern Irish footballer Shane Duff and England rugby union star Jonny May are among graduates.
